After hitting 60,000 on my 09', changed the plugs. Found NGK on the left side of the engine (4.0 1GR-FE) and Denso plugs on the right. Dealer said they never heard of that or know why that would be. Anyone have any idea why that would be? Yes, Im the original owner

How many clicks on it when you got it from the dealer?

Yes. that is a very common issue. In fact, every 2nd gen Tacoma from the factory comes with NGK on the left bank, and Denso on the right bank. It is just the way it is... Prolly due to some sort of contract Toyota has with both manufactures.

Just replace all 6 with Denso copper factory plugs. They actually give the best performance and have a thicker electrode so they'll keep their gap better than the NGK.

Also, wrong sub forum. This should be in the 2nd gen section, not the B/S/T section.
