    Here's some pics of oil catch can and what i drained out of it in case anyone wanted to see of these things serve a purpose. I have it mounted inside of the driver side wheel well. About a little over half a cup drained out, this is after 8000 miles since last drain.

    I actually got the idea from you Coupe on the underground. I researched it for a while and thought yours was da coolest man! Looks like we have the same can, i think mine was like 49 bucks shipped from Ebay. Do you have a baffle or a scotch brite pad in yours. I don't but our location is like a gravity trap.

    Got to love a catch can. Setup properly on a pre-throttle body F/I system, it will either prevent power loss, or gain you power. Depending if your vehicle came equiped with say a turbo or not.

    Here is what mine looked like after quite a few months. O_O

    Mine is setup to vent on its own. It is entirely free from the vacuum of the intake.

    An Oil Catch Can is exactly as the name states. It is installed into the PCV system of a vehicle. Being installed in a location that will be, between the valve cover/s and or crank case, and the intake manifold. Its sole purpose is to prevent the oil that is trapped within the vapors, which are being sucked from the engine block, from going into the combustion chambers.

    Without a catch can, the oil will collect over time, on all components from the intake to the exhaust. All the way through the catalytic converters. It will gunk up on intake and exhaust valves. Intake runners and exhaust ports. Pistons and rings. Aid in lower compression as well as possibly causing knock. Clog or prematurely deteriorate catalytic converters. On a factory equipped turbo system, rob horsepower.

    With a catch can, you will greatly slow down or prevent all of what I just mentioned because it catches the oil while the vapor goes through. Your engine will have better emissions because it won't be burning that oil. Your parts will last longer because you won't have that buildup on them. Over the life of the vehicle, it will run better and cleaner.

    Performance engines and teams have catch cans. They are simple, and they work. Proof as in the pics above.

    Because I am turbo, I have to set mine up differently than N/A or Roots style Supercharger kits. Yours is just fine and correct, the way it is.

    I cleaned the MAF and Throtle Body on my truck about a month ago.. When I found that oily hose dumping right into the intake I knew that would be my next mod.. Now I've seen what you guys are doing with the catch can.. Thanks for sharing!!!

    Quite frankly because Tacomaworld isn't a culture of "tuners" in the respect of engine performance. Modders, yes, but tuners no. In no way is that a disrespectful comment either.

    There are kits galore for sports oriented cars. This is not however, so the knowledge is thus mainly lost on the mass of members here.

    That is a good read. Lots learned there. Including how I came to learn the differences in how the air flows through a PCV system that is turbo's/centrifically supercharged versus N/A and Roots supercharged. < Changes where the air is being pulled and pushed from, in reference to the throttle body, thus affecting the flow of the PCV system.

    Also, has the potential to pressurize the crank case, which is bad, if setup improperly.

    I don't remember which seller on ebay that i got it from, but there are a lot to choose from at decent pricing. I drilled out holes on the bracket of the front crossmember and there were two holes already threaded out on catch can so it mounted flush up against the bracket. I used 3/8" PCV vacuum line about 6 or 7 feet. About 4 feet of tube from PCV valve to catch can (probably less) and 3 for the other tube from catch can to vaccum port on supercharger.
