    I've watched this a few times. I actually think the flare at the end prior to impact really made a difference. I would suggest he could actually survive an impact with soft ground, water for sure.

    Interesting post.

    I agree, that last moment flare really scrubbed off horizontal speed. I also believe he could have made a water landing!

    From the top video it looks like he is going pretty fast. Was he injured ? I would be surprised if he wasnt at least pretty damn sore.

    He came out with no injuries and was all smiles. His pants may have needed cleaning though. If I attempted that I would have to wear Depends...
