That would be awesome. It seems to fit in there perfectly, and I want to mount the mic input on the side of the console box (that's why I got that lil' 10" right-angle extension) I hope it will be a simple and clean install

Thanks Adam!!! But....I have an "old-man saggy balls" canopy that will be staying on there almost permanently which really limits my mount options. I have a magnet antenna now, but just I picked up a CB hood bracket form Eric @ Relentless. Should work out well, Chickenmunga and Kalamakid have the same one, and it is a pretty good design.

I appreciate the offer though...and yes, I am jealous you of assholes in Moab . Maybe next year????

 

Did you have the 3" spacer or the new coils (which are 884s)

No it doesn't Mitch. The picture doesn't really show how well its mounted their. The angle matches the dash angle, and its so far to the side that its out of the way of my long ass legs.

 

I would be kicking the crap out of it.

 

Thanks Rob, that may be an option, or maybe on the kick panel to the left of your speaker. Up and to the right of the gas pedal has some nice open space as well. I can make a bracket to fit somewhere

Finding a good spot to mount the speaker will most-likely be the hardest thing about the install. I will be sure to do a write-up or something when I do it. Probably be next weekend at the earliest.

 

Update - I took another look at the pic. On automatics, the trim doesn't have that tapered kickup on the plastic. The plastic on the autos just goes straight across

Good find Mike! That's a killer deal. I'm to the point now where I have most of the hand-tools I need, but I need more "specialty" tools and power-tools....which are rarely inexpensive.
