EDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It does not let me change my title, I was so excited writing this, the title was suppose to be UPGRADED my tacoma, lol sorry for the confusion and typo!

    hey Guys,

I will post pics later today, but I just traded in my 08 Regular cab taco for a 09' V6 Prerunner Double Cab Long Bed with the TRD package and SR5 package. This truck is amazing and night and day with my regular cab. The thing is LONG! not as easy to park as my regular cab, but I love it.

I have a few questons though. I bought this truck so I can put my race car on a trailer to track. Weight of the car and trailer is about 5,400lbs. I am wondering was the 09 rear suspension REALLY changed or upgraded? because I see no suspension TSB in effect for a 09. I am just wondering if we ever got a final answer on if the suspension was in fact upgraded? i still only have 3 leafs in the rear instead of 4 though. I just don't want my truck to sag in the rear when i connect the trailer. Or should I just buy airbags and call it a day?

    Thanks
    Neal

What sticker is that? and what is the lowered weight? I don't think I remember seeing anything about that.

Check your VIN and part number against the 08 TSB. If it matches you're eligible. The TSB seems to be updating every September for that new model year. They haven't published for the 09s yet.

There is no such thing. I got told my 08 had a "fixed" leaf pack before the TSB was updated....and then...the TSB updated...and I was eligible for it.

I didn't see it- Did you get hte towing package too?? If you are going to be towing that much...Get the TSB if you can and then decide about airbags for yourself...

    Enjoy the new rig!!

Thank you! I will try going to the dealer this week and demand the TSB then. I did get the tow package, that was actually the most important feature to me! I just finished washing it, and it looks great, it got dark so i wasn't able to take any pic, i will tomorrow so you all can see it!:)

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
Yellow sticker doesn't matter. I have an 09" And had the TSB done, With the stupid sticker.

Go back to the dealer and start telling them it bottoms out with minimum weight in it. And you bought a truck to use as a truck.

Assuming you have 3 leaf springs.

If you bought it to trailer around stuff you should have traded it in on a Dodge Ram or Silverado, or even the Tundra.

It seems the full-size trucks are better at towing than the Tacoma.
