I may not use mine. I got through Moab with just a little rubbing on the LCA at full lock and no rubbing anywhere else. Ill slap them on and If I don't use them I'll let someone here buy them.

The only thing that irritates me is they are overcharging for shipping by about double. Otherwise they have been very nice.

Come on guys ease up on the vendor.

The group buy was open for a full week and those who decided to pony up where able to get in. The vendor let anyone on the list get in on the deal even those who were not in the first 25. I believe there was about another 5 who called in besides the 30 or so on the list, asking if they could get in even though I posted it being close. They paid while payments were still being accepted for the main group so they were gracious enough to do that as well.

Very few vendors offer up a 25% discount.

As for the shipping/handling I am not sure how they factored it. I am guessing a flat rate to just make things easier on their end. The win some loose some scenario to balance out even scenario. Not sure just shooting from the hip on this one.

Most companies deal with UPS or fed ex and after insurance on a product and the package/laborer costs it is not hard to reach $25. The USPS is a joke to deal with and no guarantee on times with them, cheaper but not ideal for a business.

Hell I shipped a letter to NY from Chicago and it cost me $21 yesterday through UPS.

I do see your concern since you are so close to their factory.

The standard price of their product is in line with spider trax who is the only other company to offer a anodized hub centric spacer, but motorsports tech is smart to make them black and offer more sizes.

I would have bought from them either way. I feel lucky they were willing to deal with us.

Maybe someone can email them or another vendor and try your luck that is what I did to get this one started. Worst that can happen is a answer of no.

Best of luck. I was surprised the time I placed into this GB but I was off work for most of it due to vacation time due to expire.

This sounds like a GREAT ideal!!! Let’s threaten every vendor that doesn't offer us a discount! I bet we get soooo many more acting like 2 year olds.

do i have to put IMHO in every fucking post so everyone knows it's my fucking opinion? I'm not acting like a whiny 2-year old, just stating an opinion.

how about this smart ass: how many vendors debuted on TW with a group buy to gain attention, and then never offered one again?

Gawd .. he offers a huge discount to get attention and then shuts the gate to ANY discount .. read the damn post and realize I wasn't demanding anything .. I suggested SMALLER discounts for future GB instead of offering nothing at all.

shit, I wouldn't care if I got pink spacers .. they will be hiding behind the wheel anyways .. nice of you to think of me though

if they do, then a GB would be pointless. but OP noted that the original GB was to get attention and their name on the street, which would indicate they are not selling "just fine"

I forgot IMO on both posts above .. don't get your panties in a twist if you disagree, I'm obviously not in control of this GB or the vendor.

Who ever said they "have" to do more discounts? Not me. I was just suggesting they don't say "never again" to a loyal group of consumers.

Since this turned to a crap thread even though the member got a nice discount here is the "exact wording" that came from the vendor.

Sorry for them wanting to give a paycheck to the workers of the company and put some food on their table.

    _________________________________________________________________
"Infact my Main Engineer told me this moring to NOT give this sort of discounts again because after we added up the cost of the Aluminum, Studs, Anodizing we didnt make enough money to hit the Numbers we need to hit to keep our opperation rolling.

Honestly, I have had other guys hit me up before for the Group Buys and it never turns into anything, so I figured you might be able to give us a few orders and had no idea that it would turn into 30 orders in 3 days...I was really shocked to be honest with you. But I didnt want to turn my back on the orders or the discounts and look like chump."
    _________________________________________________________________

The reason they got a ton of orders was due to it being a good deal. If it was not so good deal, you would have just bought them on your own or went with spidertraxx who is the same cost at regular price.

They went over and above in my eyes. What he wrote is the truth, there is very litte made if any for the deal they gave us.

    Look at the over head

    Material cost
    Machine
    Tooling
    Anodizing
    Advertising
    Electric
    Rent
    unemployement
    Health care

It is not easy to keep a smaller business up and running, please show respect to what keeps america going. There are few machine shops in the US anymore. Large corporations get alot of breaks from the government, small companies get very little.

If the situation is so bad please let me know and I will get your money refunded and pay for your order so I can sell them to another member.
