Voltmeter install help

Hey everyone, I am trying to install a voltmeter in my Tacoma. I was wondering if anyone else has done this? Where did you hooked your wires up to? Just trying to find the easiest way! Thanks!

 

I found the ignition wire. Can anyone point me to where the dimmer wire is behind the dash?

Anyone know if I can put the ignition and 12v battery wire together and still get a good reading?

 

Don't put them together unless you want both wires to have constant power. You would have to use a diode to isolate them. There is really no reason to read both the constant and ignition voltage, they are the same as the battery voltage.

 

Buy an ultraguage instead of rigging something up, it tells vou voltage plus everything else you want to know. A pic of mine...
