    Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
    Thats a pretty neat old bike! I am a motorcycle fanatic, but would probably be completely lost riding something like that without having to shift. Only clutch less bike I have seen was a Yamaha PW80 that my brother had when we were kids. It had 3 gears I believe, but didn't need a clutch to shift.

    When I was younger I had a Honda CT70 I used to putz around on. It was 'clutchless' too - it had a centrifugal clutch as well as a clutch pack that disengaged whenever the foot shifting lever wasn't at its middle position.

    I miss riding that old bike, although I don't miss the shutdown procedure (it was missing the kill switch, so I made a shorting switch out of fencing wire that would ground out the ignition circuit; worked great except for the wicked ZAP it delivered, being connected to the condensor and all).

    I asked what would be SAFER.

    Given that both could be completely idiotic.

    Perhaps "safer" is the wrong word.
    Which would be "less dangerous"?

    Yeah, it was the first road bike I drove because it was all I had access to at the time. I grew up riding dirt bikes so I was used to shifting and riding in general. So when I took my road test I used my dad's bike. It was almost unfair, like riding a mini bike for a road test. :D

    It WOULD be dangerous to haul above the tow rating of any vehicle , especially one without a tow package

    Ive had both in the Tacoma and I have to say I enjoyed my 6-Speed Manual better. The auto I have now is fine but i miss the control I had with the manual.

    I have a V6 along with an Auto and only filled up once so far so haven't checked the MPG yet. But I love not having to shift.

    I'm getting ready to get a auto trans for my truck seeing how my old one grenaded, to the tune of $2600.00

    But to address the question, yeah they're good but unGodly expensive to rebuild/replace pretty much how all auto trans are now regardless what make or model, do your maintenance on schedule or you may be looking at a hefty price to pay....
