Had an aid bag but no IVs or rehydration packs. Mainly shit for a rollover, neck splint, Sam splints, pole less litter, etc.

In other news dropped the drive shaft off to be retubed, gonna use .134 tube. Should hold up alittle better.

Nice! That is going to be heavy as hell though. Think that is going to put a lot of strain on your tranny? And by tranny I mean your transmission, not lurry:rolleyes:

Stock tub is like .065 so about double on the end of the drive shaft. Hopefully it will not put to much stress on my tranny.:D

You kids and your adorable backcountry survival skills ;) Good thing you were there Dennis. I know the Army has your shit in line, but most civvies don't understand what kind of problem deserts can be when things go even slightly wrong.

It was funny cause someone didn't want to drink out of the water cans at first but once there was no more water or gatorade in the fridge it was all about refilling water bottles and cooling them back off.

Yeah. You lose water fast as shit out there.

People used to the heat here don't get it - you don't get sopped in sweat like here on the east coast because sweating actually does something in the southwest. The water vaporizes, and your body stays cool. It's actually very comfortable compared to here. Until you pass out and die.

I did a lot of climbing and hiking in Arizona when I was there in 2007. The difference in water needs and how I had to pack for trips was shocking. It took me a couple weeks to adapt my methods.

Oh yeah, one of the things I love to do to help stay hydrated after water tends to get old is eat more fruit. Get fed, get fluids, and getting some salt to help retain the water....

Yeah, I have a little experience with the dry heat. It truly is a different experience, and you don't think that you need to drink mainly due to not sweating like you are used too. Plus the elevation change of about 5,000ft, although small, still plays a roll.

I had some pistachios so I still was able to get in some salts.

Not my shriners just at the shrine club. :notsure: It was hot a fuck though I walked out drenched in sweat. It was a crazy fight well worth the 2-1/2 hour drive to get there. Check out the arm bar at 1:50 and watch George, the black guy, get out of it the white guy is Bart the kid I was there supporting.
