I just use a translucent smoked vinyl film that you peel the clear backing off and stretch over the light and use a heat gun for best fitment. I've done this for the rear brake light and turn signals on my Kawasaki Ninja and it works great. Plus, unlike VHT Nightshade (a great option and product mind you), I can remove the film whenever I like. Here is the link, the seller sells it in 1x2 ft sections. If you want 4x2 feet, you add 4 of them to the shopping cart.

    UPDATE
I took a closer look at these turn signals on the mirrors. If you remove the foam padding that is glued around the end of the blinker housing (near the plug) there is actually a way to separate the plug housing from the lense housing. You pry up some little black tabs and then can separate the two, which will expose and give you access to a small circuit board with 3 LED's soldered on it. You would have to remove that circuit board, unsolder the existing orange LEDs and then solder in you new color choice of LEDs.

Yep...started reading and thought, well let me go figure it out. By the time I finished reading I was like "um...no"

You get more done by being nice...and not an elitist a--hole.

Senior Tactical, I also want to smoke my side mirror signal lenses. If you have a chance, would you mind posting a pic of your finished product on your MGM? Looks like I'll be copying most of your mods, haha.

I haven't actually smoked them yet. I have used that film to smoke out my 3rd brake light. Also, used it to smoke out rear tail light and blinkers of my old 2010 Ninja 250. I might be doing the tail and blinkers of my new 2012 ZX-6R soon. I will eventually do the blinker mirrors on the truck once I have done a retrofit and BHLM. I will also smoke film the fogs too, since they will have 5K or 6K 35W HID's

    Plenty to be done!
    G'day guys,
Hoping to check if side mirrors for the Tacoma (Prerunner), 4Runner and Aussie Hilux SR5 are compatible. Seem identical to posted pics.
I currently have the chrome covers with signals on the side mirrors and looking to swap out for colour match (grey or black). Cannot obtain as colour match here in Australia.
Can anyone provide part numbers for side mirror body assembly (left & right) and side mirror covers (left & right)?
    Cheers,
    JC (Aussie SR5)

Just got the heads-up that mirrors for Tacoma and Hilux are different part no's. Look same, same but different so to speak.
    Cheers guys.
