I am planning on removing the block in the rear and ordering a whole new leaf pack. I found a kit right here.......... I was wondering how the ride quality would be and if they were over all a good pack. Also i was wondering if that was the price for one side on both packs.

That's price per pack. I have no personal experience with them but A LOT of TWer's are running Dakars. There's a million threads if you search it.

I have an 08 that I just put dakars on. It's a differant set of springs than your 1st gen will have. Mine are definately stiffer than stock, but they can actually handle a load.

Thats what i was afraid to hear!...The block i have on there now makes my shock extended as far as possible so it is a really stiff ride and im trying to find a pack that isnt really stiff

    A few bolts are different.
    Skyjacker springs are great.

the dakars will be stiff, but not harsh, if you know what I mean. You will have a lot better performance than you do now with blocks if you go with dakars(or any new pack for that matter.). I have a lot better hauling capacity with my dakars now though. With stock springs, I could jump on my hitch and hit the bump stops(or come really close) Now, my truck barely drops. I cant wait to put some weight in it.

And again, you may want to talk to somebody who put them on a 1st gen, because they look like a totally differant pack, so the ride may be laods differant(pun intended).

I have Dakars now and had them on my old truck (2 different sets) and I can't say enough good things about them. They ride just fine (NO, not too harsh guys), and they can handle 1.5 yards of mulch without any noticeable sag (try that with the stock springs).

Yeah the guy that had the truck before me i think hauled a 4 wheeler a lot and the leaf springs are sagging and the blocks make the shocks too short so its sucky~!
