weathertech and 2009 access cab?

I tried a search and found tons of information on liners however most of it was opinions of what liners were best. I found some information claiming some had issues with liners fitting in their 6 speed tacos as well.

I have a 2009 Access cab 6 speed and have decided on the Weathertech front and rear liners. First question is can anyone say positively that I should not have a problem with the front liners in a 6 speed?

2nd question is I am for sure removing that crazy rear storage bin and I think I remember reading the 2008 Weathertech will fit perfectly if the storage bin is removed. Is the interior of the 2008 the same as the 2009 as I need to know before I try to find a place to buy from. I believe I can get a set cheaper than seperate so if possible I will just order a front and rear set for a 2008 access cab if it is the same....minus that horrible storage thingy.

 

Can't give a definite answer about the fronts since my 2009 is auto. But the front Weathertechs fit mine perfectly. For the back you will need to trim the rear Weathertech to fit around the rear console or remove the console as I did. If you revisit the thread about console removal you will see the rear Weathertech.

As far as the front mat is concerned, people with a manual have just cut out a notch where the clutch touches when depressed. Its not much and probably not really noticed unless you look for it. The rear shouldn't have any issues other than the console thingy which can be remedied.

 

Raylo thank you and it was indeed your thread I was thinking about as I could not remember your exact words. I really do like that rear section as one single unit for both sides looks very nice.

 

for the 6-speed, just trim where the clutch arm contacts the liners, very simple, takes about 20 seconds with some heavy duty shears.
