    If you want it all gone, pass on the consumer grade Round-up, find a place that will sell you Crossbow or find a Round-up concentrate. Glyphosate (active chemical in round-up) is more of a broad leaf weed/grass killer. It will kill woody plants, but only in high concentrations. Avoid over-application of chemicals for reasons of run-off and contamination to water sources etc. Use the right chemical, even Round-up correctly, and it will die. Do not weedwack it before you spray, actively growing leaf parts are necessary to translocate the chemical to the roots for complete effectiveness. If you go the Round-up route, 2 or 3 applications may be necessary, just don't pour the stuff into the ground, it only works on green parts. It's not going to be an afternoon job, it will take you a couple weeks to kill it all and remove it. Good luck. Or just call a landscape contractor and avoid the headache.
