After reading through a gazillion threads, I haven't quite found this answer yet so here goes-

Gawked under the front end today and noticed what looked like a greasy spot inside one of the wheels. Grabbed the creeper and, sure enough, it was grease. Followed it up and found that my upper ball joint was leaking. Checked the other side and sure as shat--same thing. Swell. No other leaks or issues to be found anywhere except the UBJ's and the boots appear to be intact.

'11 SR5 4x4 with 12K miles. Swapped for 5100's at 1.75 approx 6K miles ago with stock springs. Everything else is still stock as well. I have been off-road a few times since the swap, but articulation hasn't been overly extreme. I do get slight wandering on the highway with 265/70R17s and rubbing on the splash guard, but no contact evidence anywhere else. No hard impacts to either side since last aligned following rear spring TSB install.

Could this be the result of a bad alignment? Or do I just need to bite the weenie and get new UCAs? Perhaps something else? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Still under warranty, but I'm betting they'll say no because of the billies install. Just guessing at this point.

Closed for the holiday today so I have to wait until tomorrow to find out, but I will definitely be asking. Just hoping someone else might have seen this issue before so I know what I'm up against.

Poss tear in the bushing? Jack it up so the tire is off the ground and the UCA is flexed, if theres a small tear or hole you'll see grease coming out. My Camburg UCA's do it cause theyre the bj ones but theyre also greasable!

Jacked it up earlier and took a look-see, but didn't find anything. That was with the tires in my way so I'm planning to yank them tomorrow so I can get a better look. Can't imagine them both tearing with so few miles, but I'll see what I can find. Thanks!

Yanked both wheels to have a better look and couldn't find anything obvious. Just sked an appt with the stealership so I guess we'll see what they come up with. Even they said they haven't heard of this before with the stock stuff so I guess that makes me the lucky one. :(
