cv axle seal

    3 inch body lift, flowmaster exhast, 33inch daytom a/t, blacked out windows, 2 12inch kicker subs
    i am replaceing my cv axles this weekend and someone told me that i should replace the front axle seal beetween the cv and diff. while im in there....all i can find are seals called wheel seals.....are these the same thing? also how do you change them?

    02 ext cab cat-back exhaust, k&n replacement filter, 5100 billy's, hellcreek 1.5" rear spring packs, 882 OME coils, Toytec 2" AAl, stainless brake lines, Light Racing UCA, 1" diff drop, BPV bracket, 4" deck plate mod, 886 fog light backup light mod, tom woods one piece drive shaft, spider trax 1.25 spacer.
    when i had to do mine (they were leaking) i just went to the toyota garage and got them, and i'm not sure what they called them. to replace it's easy as hell. Once you have the cv out just use a pair of needle nose pliers and pull it out. to set the new back in, first rub some diff fluid around the rubber seal ( like you would when you change your oil on your oil filter), the just gently tap the new seal in. You may have to use a punch to get it all they way in but just be easy with it and you'll find that it's pretty simple.

    how far back should i tap the seal?

    881 Front coils, Bilstien 5100's all the way front set to "0" Icon Dynamic's mini leafs in rear, stock tires.
    Measure the old one before you remove it!

    should be flush with the edge, make sure it's squarely tapped in
