Thanks, but not much of a turn out this evening, folks had other plans for the holidays. Only three showed up to run, but a few others have heard we had the track up and running again, and showed up to watch (and flip, thank goodness). Pretty good time had by all. Going to a cook out on the river at noon, then back to the track tomorrow evening. I have two pork butts on the smoker as I type for the highlight of the weekend...

So Dmonkey and I went racing today. This was the first time I ever raced at an organized event like this and I was pretty satisfied with the results.

I was running my 2wd lcg Slash with the Dualsky 17.5T and esc combo.

Every person there said I would have gotten faster lap times with clay tires. With that said, here are the results.

First race I did horribly because I suffered from a broken servo. Placed 8th.

I came back in the second qualifier and placed 3rd.

So I made it to the B-Main and I won that race.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tozdhnl-_X8

I got bumped up to the A-Main and I placed 8th.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8F-PcMCioZw

The Slash was really heavy for the 17.5t motor but it still ran INCREDIBLY well for me. I was very very impressed by the set up. Thanks to Mike @ CK Hobby. Next time I make it out I'll be running my Team C TS2 with some CLAY TIRES haha.

I believe so, its just available in the rtr version now, if you want the kit you need the dingo. You may be able to find the honcho kit but it may take some time.

LHS' or smaller online stores are the only places I still see them. eBay too, of course.

Is wheelbase and body the only difference between the two?

What effect does this have on parts/bodies, etc?

Got the motivaton today to work on my nqd jet boat. Started off cutting it open, ripped all the stock crap out and threw it away then got pretty much everything installed and cooling system ran. Hope to do a maiden voyage tomrrow after work, hope it works..

I think my motor took a shit today... I was doing backflips off of a tree. (Landing surprisingly softly) After my last jump the motor just won't push the truck. Steering is fine, but when I give it throttle it looks like it's just going back and forth really fast...

    :notsure:

This somewhat okay to me, because that truggy really needs a little more motor.

The kit will obviously run you a little more since you have to buy the electronics separately.

If I were you, I'd just go with the RTR. If you want the Dingo body, you can make it fit the RTR.

My plan is to eventually have a honcho with wraith axles and some sort of waterproof brushless system....
