part of his belt came off and got tangled up in the fan, seizing it up. he got towed to the nearest toyota dealership (newark, delaware) and is having it looked at today. he just had his local toyota dealership replace the belt, and now a week later it came apart.

anyone have a trailer that can pickme and the truck upand get me and my family back to nj if the dealership wont help me. i am desperate. at theleast towed into south jersey please call me 9737508510

    thanks

btw, we are 4 people ( me, my girl,my bro and sis in law.)

the problems may be caused by workmanship error when the belt was put on less than 500 miles ago. and if thats the case, no other dealership will cover the repairs. towne toyota in ledgewood would have to reimburse this dealership for the repairs. ifsomeone can help please do. the four of us slept in the tacoma last night. have not eaten a real meal since about 2 oclock yesterday. i can even get a loaner car till they determine what cause the problem, part defect or workmanship error. so i am fucked as of now. the four of us are all called out of work and also the radiator is shot from the dislodgedbelt smacking against it.

the rad. is leaking you say???
if not then grab and spin all the pulleys by hand make sure they spin freely......
if they do then go put a belt on and keep filling the rad.
or light a match and go to rental car place and call ins......
toyo dealers anywhere should give u a loaner car if they wont repair it.....

so that's what the late night call was... I just sent you a text wondering what was up.

    really?

why am I so surprised? Toyota sucks.

    this...

10 minute belt job just cost a whole lot more cause Toyota did it.

Have you checked out mass transit? Trains and buses go from MD to NJ all the time. No one with a Tacoma can haul another Tacoma because of the weight. I don't have a hitch either way - just saying.

You can also rent a U-Haul truck with tow behind trailer for truck. That's what Tim was about to do at the first BC meet when he blew his truck up.

It all seems like a waste of time and money to me to try and tow your truck home IMO. Just get the truck fixed, pay via credit card, then dispute the charges should Toyota choose to screw you.

So fluid is leaking or is it just dinged? Toyota will tell you it's shot, but unless it's leaking it's most likely fine. Have you seen it?

Why are you towing anything anywhere? I see no point in towing anything UNLESS your going to fix it yourself.

Get the shit fixed no matter who's fault it is. Then drive home. Should be one day fix max. Every store should have the parts available and it's a simple job.

    Chinatown/Bolt/Megabus bus $20
    Amtrak $50
