weird...I had 37k on my Nitto tg's when I traded in the truck and they were in awesome shape. Traction was great (aired down prerunner) and they were only $550 bucks for 285/75/16's.
BUT...if i had the extra $ at the time... I would have sprung for bfg's

 

I have approx 60K on mine without any problems with traction or issues with wear...Also you get those kick-ass lightning bolts on the sidewalls.

how was Lytle CreeK? where did you guys end up chilln ?

 

I find it is usually driver error and lack of talent that lead to those results.

I have wheeled in stockers, knock off all terrains, mud terrains, bfgs, etc, and never had a problem. Then I have been with people with BFGs and nice tires that get stuck all the time. People just need to learn when to throttle, when not to, and when to stop driving and sit aside.

FJ buddy showed up....we went and picked up some burgers & beer and bbq'd at my place instead haha. woke up...hit a small local trail the next morning. nothing crazy.

Still need to get a group together for a bbq!

 

I have Pro comp mud xtreme tires they last 40k which is pretty good for mud terrain

 

Im running a combination of Toyos and BFGs right now

there are chunking missing from the Toyos but from the previous owner. Havent really had experience with them yet since i just put them on yesterday haha

no, no reason why that would happen

 

im torn on which tires to get. i go back and forth between those two all the time

 

just get the cheapest set on sale on DR right now, usually BFG projects or Grabbers. $2-300 for a set of 4 tires isnt bad

 

Yeah, im debating between grabbers, km2's or toyos

 

i thought about grabbers but i heard that they wear fast. i want a long lasting at tire. and i think ive narrowed it down between the bfg or nittos and im terrible at decision making
