Does anyone have the Redline Hood Struts these installed on their rigs?

If so, how do you like them? are they junk? do they interfere with the hood i.e. the strut rubs against the hood or fender when the hood is closed?

I got a set and I love them! Forgot what model I got but I also got them off a group buy on here. You will need a rivet gun for the install though. I say get a pair!! ;)

In my opinion it is a very well made product. But, I did notice that while driving on the highway with the upward pressure their was a lot of hood shake going on. For that reason I would not put them on again.

They are a great product I have a set of the Elites on my Tacoma. Just this past weekend I put a set of the Plus on the gf's Tacoma. They make working on the truck easy and I would recommend them to anyone. Groupbuy price made them easy to justify.

Quick and easy to install, I used short screws to install the brackets for the hood instead of the rivets provided, just a preference.

I'm rarely under the hood as well... just to check the oil and coolant levels every couple of fuel stops.

They're really nice. Remove the stock hood strut and save half the weight you added ;)

Just an FYI, I called Redline some time back to ask about the different models. There is zero difference in strut quality between the different models. The only difference is the finish. The Elite of course is stainless, but unless you are in a salt belt any of the standard finishes will last as long as the struts. I'm getting the bottom model.

Does anyone know when a group buy will come around again?

Happy with mine too (group buy purchase). It definitely makes life easier if you have an ARB/larger bumper on the front, any lift and are under six feet tall. :)

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
On the hood, turn the rubber stops down a bit to tighten the hood when closed; you'll be good to go. [IMG]

+1 on all of the above.
Ordered 2 sets (missed the last GB by a few days), one for the Taco and one for the wife's Rav4.

Rav4, have to remove the stock hood prop because it's in the way of the strut, but on the Taco, the prop can remain so if the struts ever lose charge you're not screwed (I had a '91 Escort wagon that the struts went out on the liftgate and on a cold morning it wouldn't hold)
