Doin' good.

Finally got my Motorcycle endorsement added to my license today.

Me and the g/f took a short ride around Lake Helen/Deland.

I love this bike

 

I didnt even touch his truck, had one of my guys do it. Great thing about being a team leader, i dont have to work on those picky ass customers vehicles. But it was a crazy slow day, we could have easily done it, oil change and rotate, in 15 minutes if we wanted to, but dont want to set expectations too high.

 

No 18,, 4 tires tank of gas and clean the glass in 13 sec.... now thats Toyota fast..

 

Years ago, when i worked at a Goodyear, me and 2 other techs did:
- Mounted and balanced 4 tires
-Rear brake clean and adjust
-Oil change
-Spark plugs
-and 1 more thing i cant remember

IN 15 1/2 MINUTES!!! (timed)

 

Got the bed extender for my kayak today.







covered it with some marine carpet for the time being to help protect the yak when sliding it up on there.

How much and where did you get it?

 

I bought mine from a guy who had it in his garage and never used it for 30 bucks.

I think harbor freight is having a sale right now on em for like 55.

 

not too bad.. its has a 250lb weight capacity. I put some weight on it and the suspension on the truck went down instead of it flexing. Luckily my yak is 60 lbs. and this wont even have to hold half of that.

 

HA! Thanks, guys! I think last night was the clown from Savannah, though. Those two were brutal. My crew stayed in FL, so we have the half-clown in the party van with a hooker in a rainbow wig smoking crack on film. Just wait.... ~snicker~

 

Those things are great. I cant compete with those prices, but it any of you ever need a real heavy duty one, I can build them.

 

I got a 12'6" kayak and hauled it over 50 times in the bed of the truck, I sometimes haul 2 or 3 around the same size. The key is to run a strap over all over all of them to each rear tie down, then hook each ones handle to your tow hitch loops with a strap, then put a strap through the back of each one and hook that to the tailgate latch hooks. At first I thought I needed a bed extender, and probably would if the yaks were any longer.

 

you have the short bed or long bed?

Also had my first person pull out in front of me on the bike...stupid BITCH that doesn't feel it necessary to stop at a STOP sign and looking before turning towards a blind curve. Luckily we were only doing like 25

 

Sucks to say, but you have to get used to that shit, drivers dont give a crap about bikes, pissed me off when i had mine, cant even count how many times i locked up my back tire. Scared the crap out of me the first time.

 

Oh trust me, i know. Sad thing is I am pretty sure she saw me...she has just probably been through that intersection a 1000 times and blows through it everytime.

Luckily with my motocross riding/racing experience I can control the bike much better than someone who has never ridden before. Plus on the dual sport bike I can avoid things by running into the grass and dirt without having to worry about losing control.

 

sucks man. i hate when they do that shit and i’m in my truck. also one reason i don’t want a bike.

true MOST don’t even give it a thought. i always try and look out for bikes. know a few people that have had or have bikes. my brother had a R6 for 2 years sold it. bought it back a year later. than traded it in on a R1. than sold it.
