So I went in to Lakeside Toyota of Metairie today to have the rear suspension TSB done. I am a skeptical person that tries not to be too big of an a-hole. I walk around the truck the long way after I valet or pick up from service or when I'm leaving a parking spot. I'll stop when I'm a block away to make sure McDonald's gave me my sweet and sour sauce. I don't crawl under the truck to inspect the new parts while my truck is parked in front of the service window. I don't dig through the bag at the drive through window, but this is all about to change.

I am so tired of incompetence. When I got to my house I started inspecting it and what I found was this...front blue and yellow shocks (the Bilsteins), new looking three leaf springs, and new looking rear black shocks. I am no expert with counting, but I'm pretty sure the replacement four leaf springs should have four leaves. I also seem to recall my colors and it looks like I do not have blue and yellow shocks in the rear. I say to myself "what the hell?!? Did you put new OEM parts for my rear shocks?" Thanks to Janster for providing the pdf so readily available. Sure enough, those idiots ordered all the wrong parts. I have the receipt of the parts they replaced and it is the correct front shocks and the original rear shocks and three leaf springs.

I'll be calling tomorrow...calmly. Mistakes happen, but I'm going to demand that I get a rental car next time I bring it in for the TSB.

More than likely, the rear leaf springs were backordered as in the case of mine. However, they never should have done the job until they had all the parts to begin with! I had mine done and I will say it does improve the ride quite a bit.

Yeah, I love the front Bilsteins. They really help out...I can't wait to feel the rest.

I'm sure a lot of you have been worried about me...I spoke with the dealer and they initially denied installing the wrong parts and I told him to check again. He called back a little while later and admitted their mistake and offered to make it up to me when I brought it back in.

I just might have to order myself a pair of truck nutz for being so enforcing.

I got the service done yesterday and they gave me a free rental. All things considered, I am pretty happy with the service they provided.

The springs and shocks are definitely much rougher now than they were before, but I love it.

It is much rougher now. I haven't gone over any train tracks, but we do have plenty of crap streets here. It would get tiring for me to drive all day on bad roads with the TSB. I used to not care at call and the truck would just float over everything, but I know I have a truck now. I'm still 100% for this. I think it just needs to break in a little bit. I'll drive some of my fat friends around tomorrow. I might even throw a few bags of sand back there.

I didn't have to...I called them up and spoke to the service manager

Me: You're guys installed the wrong parts.
    SM: No, they didn't.
    Me: Yes they did.
    SM: Nuh uh.
Me: Yuh huh. When I picked up yo' mama last night, my truck was riding on the stops. I got a copy of the TSB, do you need one?
    SM: No, I have one.
Me: Go check it out. Y'all installed the wrong parts.
SM: Alright, I'll call you back in a little bit.

SM: Hello, Mr. lsocoee. You were right. I'll get the parts on order and we'll set you up in a rental.
    Me: Sounds good.
