They called today and said mine is ready for pick-up so I'll get it tomorrow at lunch. I would drop it to you this weekend but don't think there will be room in Courtney's SUV for it and our bags. I'm sure we can work something out the next two weekends before the 18th.

Hey, I live in Dirty Durham. Its not so bad, but there are areas where you don't want to go. Most of the areas around Duke and where all the Duke kids hang out are ok. For things that are cool to do: The Durham Bulls games are a blast and the whole American Tobacco Complex is pretty cool. They have free concerts there several times through the summer. Check out this link for more information:

    http://www.americantobaccohistoricdistrict.com/

    http://www.americantobaccohistoricdistrict.com/content/microsites/motl2012/OnTheLawn-calendar.html

Most of the concerts end up being Americana and Bluegrass, but they are cool shows. Durham is big into the Foodie culture, so lots of good restaurants and organic food, etc. Some are reasonably priced and some are rather expensive. It just depends on what you are looking for... Also, being so close to Raleigh, you have several options for concerts there as well.

Just let me know what kind of questions you have and I'll try to answer them.

    Good luck on the internship.

nascar had nothing on us. although the only credit i can take is holding a flash light, turning the switch on and off, and mounted rear tires. John, Mike, and other Mike dominated the rest of it.

Adam had an electric impact, but we actually had to break the bolts loose by hand. The key is laying the carrier over on the ground and having two guys hold it down, then take a 17mm box wrench and a 2lb. hammer and a few good taps will get each one broken loose.

After that, we ran them out with the impact which was faster, but it would'nt have taken too much longer using a ratchet.

Then just use a prybar to beat the ring off the carrier.

Also, for anyone wondering: Two spare tires under one slider on one side, then dismount the two rear tires of the truck and put them under the other slider. Better than any jackstand you've got. Make sure it's in park and chock the front tires.

4.56 Nitros with all the little goodies...front diff bushing, solid spacer in the rear.

I'm deferring on a front locker for now. This truck has had no traction problems whatsoever. I just really don't think a front locker is necessary.

Once I get a few more mods out of the way (Gears, Electrical Stuff, Leaf Springs, OBA) Blue is pretty much going to be "done", and it's time to start saving for a trailer rig.

Yeah. There's a big difference there.

Basically my thought process was: A front ARB is definitely $900 more traction than an open front diff. It's still more traction than The Traction Control System That Must Not Be Named, but it's damn sure not $900 more.

    The cost/benefit just wasn't there.

Way I look at it, I can already get the truck in enough trouble that it needs winching or breaks parts. I've done both. It's got all the go it needs for what I want to do with it. If I want to wheel harder, I need something I can cage, roll, and not give a shit. Hence the intent to look for a trail rig. I want to keep the truck for moderate stuff though.
