Satoshi Deep Dish

So after lots of research and shopping around TW for the 'best looking' grille I've decided to go with the Satoshi grille. Ordering an extra grille off the internet today, doing the dirty work over the next 2-3 weeks, and made an appointment to have it paint matched BSP over memorial day weekend. I'm thinking of using this mesh: (powdercoated black)

I want to match the mesh to the small existing mesh that is on the grill. I know a few of you will say go with GrillCraft, but IMO that stuff is overpriced for a piece of powdercoated mesh. Any other suggestions?

I'm contemplating the production of a second satoshi grille, most likely BSP also, and throwing it on ebay. I consider myself a pretty dextrous guy (built models for a living in college for architecture, so this is right up my alley) What do you guys think?

I fiddled around the same idea as well. With how time consuming this is, it would be a pain to do more than 1 at a time unless you had a helper. Plus you would have to buy more grills to do it with, they take up a shit ton of space too.

 

Have you thrown any $ figures around in your head, as far as what you would charge for the second grill? I'd be more than interested if the price were right (whatever the "right" price would be for something like this)...

$100 for the grille
$65 for the mesh
$85 for the FJ40 emblem
$75-100 for paint match
~$50 for fiberglass, bondo, primer, and hardware

looks like the cost is going to pan out around 400 give or take

Which emblems did you guys purchase? I've been looking around, but not sure what to get if I do the Satoshi grill.

Oh, Rad, did you buy a custom grill or did you buy mesh and do it yourself? your satoshi job is pretty awesome. sweet truck.
