I just turn them. It leaves a little bit of a mark but shouldnt be too bad. You loosened the bolt right? I do have very little preload on mine, maybe 7 or 8 threads and when I loosen it all the way I can remove the spring without a spring compressor. Try grabbing the spring and turning it at the same time with the collar. I used to adjust my dirt bike shocks just by loosening the collar and turning the spring by hand

Ok, Talked with Gadget and he dosent seem to think the thermostat will help in my situation of high temps for long periods. He recommended a pusher style set up. So I am getting a flex-a-lite 112 fan capable of pushing about 1100 cfm. I will mount it on top of my intercooler which will then push through the intercooler, AC condenser, and finally the radiator. It will be set up with a manual off for water crossings as well as a 2 speed operation, one speed at 60% when the AC is on and 100% speed when over a certain temp. I will probably set it for 200 or 210 degrees. I will get my switch from SDHQ when I get home.

We will see how that does, if I need to I will go with a 2nd fan, maybe downsize to a 10" or 8" dual eventually. We will see how this does. I will also replace the fan shroud when I get home too. I have it sitting in the garage already so I might as well. Also, looking at some pictures there seems to be a lot of bugs on my cores so I will give those a good cleaning as well. Hope fully between the cleaning, the shroud, and the pusher fan it will get my temp under control.

If you look closely at the video about 5-10 feet from where they are trying to go across that crack it looks much less pronounced. I'm sure it would be easy to get around. If an FJ can do it I'm sure a 2nd Gen can.

Looks like these guys are taking the most extreme lines. The first part of that second video they are going up the left side and you can clearly see the right side has plenty of room and is much less extreme.

Nah, I could do it. I am not worried. Its all about how you hit it and having either a locker or some sort of electronic traction aid to keep you moving. I might hit my rear tire carrier but no worries if I do.

With your wheelbase you would hit something for sure if you took that same line. But your not worried about body damage anyway so...

Yep exactly what I said just from looking at the video. Looked much more mellow 5-10ft. down from where the Heep is going.

That wouldn't cause any body damage, I have armor front and rear and sliders/skids so if I hit its no big deal. And why go for the easier stuff, thats no fun.

But things got done everyone is happy and I got a shit load of new tools so not complaining. with my gift cards I'm getting some books so I can study so I can get my A+ Certification for work.
