V8 Tacoma

Has any one done this? im looking on upgrading my engine to V8.

Yep, I put it twice because it'll end up costing twice as much as anticipated

 

hotrodt on xr-underground has a ls1 in his x-runner. I plan on doing the same whenever i stumble upon a ls1/t56

Im looking on a V8 5.7 of a tundra

 

Speed freek on here has a ls1 swap daily driven...

 

I put a vid in the XR section of a super charged 5.7

 

I have a 1st gen 2wd LS1 with a T56 trans, soon to be turboed.

Lots of work, but waaay more room in a 2nd gen.

 

Lemme know if you ever get this started!

 

Just supercharger the 4.0L as it's not that bad. I like the way it feels much better than my Tundra felt with the 5.7L V8. Granted, there was more weight to account for too but the supercharger will be MUCH easier, MUCH less expensive and will be nearly as quick plus you get better fuel economy and that bitchin' s/c whine that makes the ladies drop theys panties! j/k

I get that you want to do it but sometimes the path of least resistance really is the best way to go for most people.
