thanks man, and yeah.....works pretty good now. i had to get a different antenna...the other didn't match too well, and i had to get an inline noise suppressor......pics up really well now as far as i can tell......and squelch is at a minimum with the suppressor......meaning the squelch button doesnt turn but maybe a quarter inch till its off.

i got the cb from hodgey, but i got the noise suppressor and antenna(i got a wilson antenna......still adjustable too, but the firestiks weretoo damn tall.....they didnt have any 3 footers) from that flying j that me and you went to. it doesnt come in as clear as yours did, but its pretty damn close.....plus...my wattage is awesome....and as im told, a bit illegal.:D so maybe what wasnt to clear earlier was someone coming in from a long ways off.....closer, i can hear them crystal clear.

I'm digging the mount location Will, I'm wondering where I should mount mine this weekend.

either on your tool box, or your bed rails..........you got more options to work with having that second gen. i thought for a while, cause honestly, i wasnt sure mine was gonna fit on my tool box, but im glad it did. its pretty solid too.

Haha....no toolbox to mount it to. And my bed rails are being occupied by my bedcover so I might be S.O.L.

ah..thought you had a box. my bad. maybe you can make some drop down brackets that will drop from the bed rails at the front or side, and it still be functional for the bed cover.

i love the look of the 4 lights!...did you use the two factory holes that were pre-drilled or did you have to drill 4 new ones?

    Truck is looking good Will!

Ghost, you could always go with a magnetic antenna. That's what I'm using....I know I know it looks like a RC truck but dammit it works!
