Your capacity won't double in series because both packs are discharging at the same time. But yes you can do it. The new 1/8 scale buggy I have coming (Durango DEX408, thanks Fear) as this layout to lower CG and improve overall handling.

    Okay I think I got it! So my example ((2) 2s 5000 mHA 40c) will turn it into a 4s 5000mHA 40c battery?

    Thanks again for the help!

Was just out running the truck around the neighborhood park. It does pretty good for the 20c battery. I need to adjust the sway bar and tires. The truck has a huge turning radius. Time for some up grades!

Almost. In parallel both are discharging at the same time too, the difference is the rate at which they are discharging. If a load requires 4 Amps, two batteries in series will discharge at 4A, in parallel the load is distributed between the two cells, so both will discharge at 2A. So you could say in series both cells are discharging at the same rate, and in parallel in half that rate each (if running 2 batteries/packs or cells)

Yes, parallel they are both discharging (of course) but at half the rate, hence, the doubling of Mah. I should of said, same rate, not same time.

The aquacraft revolt 30, it was just released a few days ago.

For the prince I got a turnigy 2300kv brushless 4 pole for it and a 120amp esc, a mr200 rx aswell as some other new screws/cooling lines. I am held up with the motor at the moment, had to cut the stock motor mounts you had in it out, waiting for a bigger mount to come in so I can get it installed to get the motor in, then its ready to hit the water

The revolt was gps'd out the boat at 48mph, the prince from what iv read with the setup i have for it should be in the mid to high 50s, with a few prop changes i hope to be mid 60s with it.

Yeah that sounds about right, with the stock setup in the video I posted it ran 39 mph with a GPS that barely fit and was at the nose of the boat, so the boat wasn't sitting right, plus the water conditions were rough for the size of the boat. With that much better setup you are installing and that smooth water pond from the video you posted earlier, its going to move like a bullet in it.

I have a savox servo that I got for 38 bucks. I've ran it in to vehicles and have absolutely no complaints.

    Great advice.

I would recommend the Gens Ace 5000mAh 40C or 50C. The 40Cs are in stock right now for a whopping $34. I think they have 50Cs in stock and might even have a few of the new 60Cs. :D

So my son reminded me last night that before the steering totally quit working it started to freak out turning back and forth really quick without any input from the transmitter..... Is that a common thing for a servo to do before they fail?

It sounds like it shorted out.

Have you opened it up to see what's going on in there?

Me too!! I've went through over ninety pages of the thread over on RCTech, just looking at set-ups/tips etc... Ryan Lutz posts his set ups as well, even Randy Pike (Tekin team Manager) is running this buggy. Sad part is, I'll prolly have to wait for some electronics money before proceeding.
