Gah people are freakin retarded!!! (rant)

gah today i was driving on the highway, i have a 136 decibel air horn in my truck, i came to a 4 way stop, took off and this stupid asshole blows her sighn and almost plows me, she had her window down and my foot happened to hit the foot pedal for my airhorn coincidence. later i get called into my cheifs office and get written up and get told by 2 police officers that my airhorn is illegal to honk on public roads because it is too loud and that i woke up this womans baby.

so now what do i do, if i get another write up for using my airhorn im quitting my dept and joining a neighboring dept. also can i really get a ticket because my horn is too loud? i barely hear it when my radio is on. this is just stupid as hell

they can fire you for something in your personal vehicle? dosent sound right.

I'll bet as a firefighter-they can fire him for breaking the law and being a public nuisance...I'd say the 136dB probably violates noise ordinances.

Did you get a chance to explain your side of the story?? Cause I'd say you might broken the law...but it was deserved. A crash coulda killed her baby instead of just screwing up nap time...

 

i did, but its still illegal and a regular horn would have sufficed according to chief and the officers, still i think from now on im not going to stop cause i "didnt hear or see them" and gonna get a new taco out of it, i just dont think its fair, i understand if it was the city but on a highway come on!

prolly not much consolation but sooner or later, people like that get what's coming to them and when they do they just can't figure out why. i was a paramedic for a county service for a long time. you're out there trying to help the very people who will do their best to break it off in your a$$ every chance they get without a thank you, kiss my a$$, or nothing. most people suck, and will continue to suck no matter you do. that's just the way it is. keep on keepin' on, bro'.

 

If i got a ticket for that id see the police officer in court for that stupid shit..

 

just an update yall, i decided i am quiting the dept ive been with for 2 years and joining a neighboring dept, its not this that led to it but a few "new rules" and restrictions, also ourr new fire chief
