Been driving my 2012 TRD Off Road for a couple weeks now and I can't get past the silver sides on the dash.

I'm thinking of wrapping both areas with black carbon fiber. Looking for feed back and possibly pictures if anyone has done this before.

    TIA LF

Ive done a lot of wrapping with 3M Di-Noc carbon fiber. It is pretty easy to work with if you prep the surface to be covered and have the right tools. I usually clean the surface with alcohol and make sure there is no dust. Have a very hot blowing hair dryer and a small squeegy-type tool to press out the air bubbles. You have to be really careful when you press the squeegy to the wrap because you can leave rub marks that look distorted when it eventually lays down. Practice on simple shapes and work up to more complex shapes that resemble your parts...practice makes perfect. And of course make sure you remove the trim pieces that are getting wrapped. Its a lot of fun and you will get addicted to it! I will see if I have pics. My buddy and I just did the center dash and door inserts on his FJ. It looks really good but he used a little bit too much muscle on one of the door inserts and has a small rub mark.

I did carbon fiber kit from carid.com in my, I like it. Didn't know at the time you can buy it piece by piece vs. the entire kit. You can check my build thread for pics of it.

Looking at the website, I didn't see where the pieces were available individually.

It doesn't say on the site, which is why I ended up ordering all 57 parts for it :\

When you call them just ask to order specific parts, they have the part numbers on the diagram.

Thanks! (Not like you can really insult someone about 'their' choice with what they do with their truck, but you are more than welcome to keep being trying if it makes you feel better about yourself).
