I always worry seeing some poor guy jump on a 1000 and loop it in the first 100 yards. If you have the experience then i would say to go after a 1000 or maybe the GSXR 750.

The ducati's used to run $20k + they are down around the same price as the rest of them. They have a beautiful sound that will stick out in a crowd of bumblebees.

Marcel, based on what you have said, I'd recommend a v-twin upright sport bike, or something like BMW's touring line.

I worry too, I grew up in a boom town, seen enough friends go 1000's right out the gates and not once did it end well. For bikes I've personally owned, I grew up riding my parents Suzuki 250 for years. as a teen I had a 450 dirt bike, and I owned my own 650cc for 2 years before I sold it 2 years ago. And I've driven my best friends GSXR 600 easily over 20 times.

I'm not sure I'd have a bike if my insurance cost that much.

We get screwed for a lot of pricing here, but our wages are higher to compensate. Used to be because US dollar was worth 2 of ours, now that it's par I the US companies are making serious bank up here, very few have lowered their pricing.

I pay 2200$ for the Taco per year :(

Can't f*#^ing wait till my "25 means your now responsible" discount.

Yea that FZ8 now seems pretty worth it. But I reaaaaally like the sports bike styling and rider stance. Don't like the "harley" stance biking
