Because it is a BIG TRUCK, compensating for something that is so small on them.

What was wrong with the body on your Ram? What year was it?

Mine was perfect. It was a 2008. From what I understand Mercedez Benz took over the company for two years and my truck was part of that. No issues at all. Ran like a champ, was strong as ever and since it ran smooth, the sound reflected that. Had a lifetime unlimited warranty on the drivetrain. Never had a problem with it.

The only reason it's gone is because of the way the dealership treated us. I miss that truck, I regret letting it go.

    Stickers. Lots of stickers.
If I hadn't bought my Tacoma, I would have bought an older style dodge diesel or 84' toyota pickup. They're both beasts drivetrain wise, at least from what I've seen.

    stock, for now
If you notice, they dont say dodge on them anymore..all the chrysler dealers around here say "jeep, dodge, ram, etc". Wonder why chrysler dropped the dodge from the ram trucks and branched out?

all the dodges around here except for the 2009-present have huge body problems like rust or whole patches of paint off and sound like there about to fall apart. Maybe dodge owners around here just don't take pride in what they drive

Any modern Mopar product is shit. From Caravans to Chargers to 300's - they are ALL crap. They depreciate fast, rattle to shit within months of ownership, suspension issues, MAJOR trans issues, AND you look like a douche driving around in something like this:

My Dodge (2008) had the 10 year warranty on the paint because there were issues in regards to paint chipping and rusting. It was because of the prior years paint laws in regard to chemical properties. So they tapped on the warranty.

My Lexus does not say Lexus anywhere on it either. The reasoning behind that (according to Lexus) was logo recognition. Kind of like how Nike is going with the swoosh nowadays.

Fiat split Dodge and Ram to make each responsible for it's own profitability. Dodge was leaning too much on their truck sales for profitability, now Ram makes their own money and Dodge makes their own money.

No rotors?? Have they been turned? Wow! How about regular maintenance? Condensers? Clutch? Slave cyl? Hoses? Spark plugs? I sure hope you replaced the timing belt. Or else you'll be replacing a whole truck. LOL

your right about the toyota not having power :(
its also scary the problems that people are having with third generation tacoma's ... what happened to toyota's running forever

    second generation runs great

my choice for a big truck would be ford or gm

I traded my 08 2.7 l taco for my hemi ram. My ram is more comfortable for me to drive and has enough power to make it up mountain passes. I liked the Tacoma, but it just didnt work for me. It kept blowing fuses and I didn't want to deal with it any longer. I chose ram over the other full size brands because in a gas motor, it made the most power for the money. Luckily, it gets about the same gas mileage as my taco did... Not that I bought either for fuel economy... Lol

Good friend of mine got a Dodge, asked him why and he said "I can tow anything and everything".. Other than the reason it can tow a shit ton, he said the truck is crap.
