My neighbor has 3 barking Pitbulls

My new neighbor has 3 Pitbulls and they bark every damn time we go outside.They bark from inside there house and when they are out.. We have confronted them with this but they just brushed it off.I am at witts end, and i have had some "BAD" thoughts on how to take care of this. Its like being held hostage in your own house!! Anyone have any advice before i go ape shit? Thanks, i needed to rant

 

I know a lot of people dont like to do it but start calling the cops on them. If they arent going to be courteous enough to handle the situation then it needs to be dealt with in another manner.

 

Call your PD and file a noise complaint...every single time. Either the fines will rack up after citations start, or failing that, call animal control if the dogs are outside and say you fear the dogs are going to break through the fence and attack you. If your neighbors want to play dumb, then play hard ball!Obviously they have no desire to help you. Great neighbors.

Paintball gun would be effective but legal maybe not.

If they won't help, get in touch with someone in the county. Fearing a "vicious" Pit Bull is going to break through the fence and horrificly maul you and yours is no joke. Someone will help.

Sounds like you need to get yourself 5 pitbulls.

 

I have 5 dogs, and IMHO, dog whistles don't work for shit. Tried them, don't work. Besides, your neighbors should handle their business. It's not your job to train their dogs, or discipline them. If they don't handle business, PD or Animal Services can.

It's not the fault of the dogs. The best solution is to bring about a dozen more dogs in the mix to bark back at them and their dogs. Maybe a couple of parrots or a sea bird

I'm from California but in maybe 20 seconds of a google search I located YOUR city Ordinance which states

"SECTION 207. NUISANCE. Any dog kept within the City of Brewer may
be declared to be a nuisance upon finding of evidence that the dog
is a dangerous animal because such dog has bitten a human being.
Upon finding evidence that a human being was bitten by a dog, the
Animal Control Officer or a Brewer police officer may proceed with
an action against the owner or keeper in accordance with this
Ordinance.
Brewer City Ordinances
Chapter 26- Art. 2
Sec. 207 - 209
Further, any dog kept within the City of Brewer may be declared to
be a nuisance upon the finding by the Animal Control Officer or a
Brewer Police Officer that the owner or occupant of a property
within one thousand feet (1000') radius of the property owned or
occupied by the owner of the dog has been annoyed by the noise of a
dog which the owner or keeper has failed to restrain from being
noisome. Upon finding such evidence, the Animal Control Officer or
police officer shall give the owner or keeper of the dog a written
warning the first time he or she receives a complaint from the owner
or occupant of property within the said one thousand feet (1000')
radius. If the owner or keeper of the dog fails to comply with this
section after receiving the written warning, the Animal Control
Officer or police officer may proceed with an action against the
owner or keeper of the dog for violating this Ordinance."
