What fits?

Alrite guys im new to tacoma world an this is my first tacoma. I've got a 2011 access cab sr5 4x4 with the 4cyl. Im havin a horrible time finding wheels that fit. I'd like to stay with 16's. I looked at the procomp 52's 16x10 but i keep hearing they wont fit. Im gonna run 285/75's and i like the wide look. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You will be hard pressed to stuff 285s without a lift. Even if you get a wheel with the correct back spacing you still have to worry about rubbing on the cab mount and other areas. But if you lift it you then have to worry about rubbing the UCAs, depending on how much lift you go with. Search the wheels and tires section. Might help.

 

I've got a 3 inch lift on it. And thinkn about putting spacers on it

 

285s are the largest you can go on a three inch lift but they will fit. The spacing of the wheel will determine if you are going to rub. With stock ucas especially. Most of what I've heard is that 285s rub the cab mount at full lock. But icon recommends 285/75/16 with their 3 in lift and a wheel with 4 or 4.5 in backspacing. I believe its 4 though.

Or you can go 265/75 on stock wheels and throw on some spidertrax. That will get the wide look as well.

 

Alrite. The guy at ntw told me that no steel wheel will fit on my truck. Is this true? I was lookin to buy 16x10 procomp 052 series wheels. They told me that they wouldnt fit because it would rub the brake caliper

 

I doubt any 16 inch steel wheel will fit. I have no idea what "ntw" is but I bet he is right...

 

Check out Wheelers Offroad steel wheels. Or look into getting a set of alloy wheels. They're lighter and better looking imo.

 

Thinkn real hard about goin with 16x8 black classic II's with spidertrax. Any thoughts on this setup??
