Wheels and tires shipped yesterday, scheduled for delivery 5/30. Found a great Memorial Day weekend special on 2" N-fab bars from Streetside Auto, so ordered those today. $300 shipped. Called Linex and they said $100 per side to spray them. Should be taking shape by end of next week. :D

Wheels/tires arrived yesterday as scheduled. Step bars arrived today. Taking the bars to Line-X tomorrow. Also ordered some 5100's for all four corners from Wheelers to level it out for now. Those are scheduled to arrive next Tuesday.

For those looking for an Outlaw II type wheel, the Ultra Type 62's from Tire Rack are not a deep dish style wheel like the Outlaw II and as shown in the pics on their website. When I first unwrapped them, I was like WTF? But, after awhile they are starting to grow on me. I think they would make a good wheeling wheel, as the valve stems are protected and would be hard as hell to tear off.

I am disappointed with Tire Rack. Even though the center bore on the wheels is 108mm and they are lugcentric, I still want hub rings to make sure the wheels get centered on the hubs. I've been down that road before. I've seen lug centric wheels that can be a real pain to keep from shaking. When I called Tire Rack today, they told me there were no hub rings made for 108 o.d. to 106 i.d., and that I didn't need them. I told them that was total b.s. and I didn't care what they thought, I'm not going to mount a 108mm wheel on a 106mm hub, even if they are lugcentric wheels. So, after complaining and not getting anywhere, I told them I'll go back to Discounttiredirect at which point they hung up on me. Not exactly what I consider good customer service. When I ordered wheels/tires for my GTO from them (DTD), they sent me plastic hub rings. When I called and asked if they had aluminum ones, they sent those to me as well at no charge (even overnighted them to me for free). As far as I'm concerned, lesson learned. I'll give my business to those vendors that take care of me. BTW, Prestige Wheels have 108 o.d./106 i.d. hub rings even though they don't exist according to Tire Rack, so they are on their way. At this point, I'll just wait to get the 5100's installed to put the new wheels/tires on in a week or two.

Here's a few pics. You can see in the last two wheel pics that these wheels really aren't a dish type wheel as it shows in the pic on Tire Rack's website. They look like shit with the caps (the caps stick out past the wheel and tire), but I think they'll be o.k. capless (which is what I was planning on doing anyway).

    Too many to list now.
Those can't be the same wheels can they? I've heard of this happening before. Scary to think you can order something and have something entirely different shipped to you did you call them?

Thanks. Some day I'd like to put a lift in it. I'm getting too old to crawl under vehicles.

Yes sir they are. Not very close if you ask me. I didn't get a chance to mention that to them before they hung up on me. I won't be giving any further business to Tire Rack. As for the wheels, I think they look fine without the center caps. With the center caps though, :puke:. The caps totally change the look.

Well, finally got around to getting everything installed. I ended up going with the 5100's set at .85 (actually got 1.5" of lift - see discussion in suspension thread). It's pretty much levelled out now. I like the stance. I'm happy with the way it turned out. Here's some pics I took today after installing the 5100's. I just got the bars installed tonight, so no outside pics of them. IMO, they look sick with the Linex on them. I just need to get an alignment now, and I should be good to go.

A few more pics with the step bars installed. It took 27 days and 1,014 miles to get everything done (at least for now :D).

I had Ultra 62's before on my older 94 4x4 Toyota and I'll tell you, they were deep with a nice lip like in the manufacturer's pic not virtually flat like those you have. I don't know about that.
