I measured my hub to fender heights on my tacoma. This is on a full tank and the driveway leans a tiny tiny bit to the drivers side (I think it is negligible) and is sloped up hill a little.
    FD: 23 5/8" FP: 24 3/4"
    RD: 23 1/2" RP: 24 3/4"
As you can see I have a 1.25" lean in the rear and it is very noticeable and is bugging me. I think it looks like my leaf pack might have rotated around the axle housing a little bit (front of leaf is higher than back, I'm not sure if it actually is or not, just telling you which way I think it rotated). Could that cause the lean? and if so could I just loosen the u-bolts some and put a jack under the rear of the leaf to try to rotate it back?

I got an alignment done at the dealership a couple days ago and was talking with one of the techs (he has a bad ass first gen) and he said that the rear is affected by the front lift. Well I can't find the numbers but IIRC the rear passenger and driver were the same height prior to me putting new springs on the front and I had a 1/4" lean to the passenger side on the front. Would adding a spacer to the front drivers to fix the normal taco lean help the rear any or should I adjust my billie on the drivers side up to the first notch (I have 886's up front)?

Thanks, and sorry for the long read.

Actually scratch the rotated leaf theory. I was looking at it again a little bit ago and I don't think it is possible for the leaf pack itself to really rotate because of the flat plate it is sitting on. In my case it looks like the front u bolt was tightened too much before the rear u bolt was tightened and so they (the dealership) could only tighten the rear u bolt so tight and didn't bother to fix it. I tried tightening the rear u bolt and I'm pretty sure it didn't come loose. Those nuts made a hell of a noise when I broke them free, but I was only able to get about a turn out of them. I think I just need to loosen the front ones some so the u bolt plate (or whatever that is called) can be rotated back into place, unless my u bolts have bent to that angle already.

Mine leans like this too and it bugs me. I cant figure it out. I have billies set at 1.75 and the TSB in the rear.

taco lean spacer will fix you up good in the front - you wont notice the minor difference. if it really bugs you, air bag it up and split the airlines, more in the left then the right

I bought it about 7 months ago with 11,800 miles on it and it's an 05. The toyota service record shows that the dealership has done about 20 oil changes on it over it's life as well as a bunch of the tsb's and some other stuff and it has had a lot of money put into it as well. It is in mint condition. So I doubt the previous owner did any offroading in it, and I hadn't done anything hard until Moab and the lean was there before Moab.

Yeah. haha I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I assume it was some anal old guy that had it prior to me. When I went to the dealership the other day to get an alignment done, they recognized it right off the bat because of that. The said it had had some oil changes done on less than 100 miles. (I didn' buy it from the toyota dealership by the way, so they aren't just feeding me full of stories)

check your tire pressure. If you are in to spending some money get the OME (old man emu) lift kit for 1k. they also sell a trim packer for $8 bucks that will help level it out. Assuming your into lifts..

I measured from the center of the hub to the fender which in theory should eliminate tire pressure, plus I recently filled them all to 40 psi and the lean is still there. I already have 5100's all around with 886 springs up front and the tsb leaf pack with an aal in the rear. The only way I plan on getting any taller is if I go to 35's or 36's. Which won't be for quite some time since I just got my 33's. I'm thinking about getting a spacer for it, but the typical taco lean size is a quarter inch and I need like an inch and I don't know about running a 1 inch spacer on one side and nothing on the other side...

Two weeks ago I had the TSB rear springs installed. Last week installed the Bilsteins and set at .85" I got level look. But now I have a lean L-F 24.0" R-F 22.75"
L-R 22.75" R-R 22.0. The Tacoma has a twist to it. I think I should remove and check Bilsteins for any differences in length with the springs installed. But I have a question:how do fined out if the the compression of the two shocks are equal? so as for my rear springs maybe have the dealership that installed the springs check for any problems. check the length or spring rate? idk what they may do but only guessing. Any help?

Wow. That is really interesting that you have a twist. Do you know if it was there before the billies? The last theory on mine is that maybe my passenger and driver leafs were reversed (the driver one has a stronger spring rate to accommodate for the fuel tank and such being on the drivers side), but I don't think this is the case as I'm pretty sure my rear was level prior to the front lift. If you can still read the part numbers on the leafs (mine are gone now...) You can look them up online to verify this.

I had a simialr problem like this once before too. Turned out that they gave me two different parts which resulted in the imbalance.

Okay here is the p/n for my spring: driver side 48220-35020 Pass side 48210-35a20. I believe there are other replacement springs used. So, these are what I have. Sorry, I didn't think to check the measurements before I started.

Well if left hand side is driver and right hand side is passenger, then they were put on correctly.

I don't know if Toyota intended the 3/4" difference. Or if the manufacturer made the springs out of specks. There's no way to know.

Because of the 1 1/4" difference in the front. Do you think that will carry to the back?

Possibly but I wouldn't think you would get the twist you have... I have about 1.25" both front and rear, but it is on the drivers side only.

Your leaf pack has settled due to the extra weight on one side it sits lower. Not much you can do, i thought about switching the leaf packs, i.e. swap the right with the left. All the extra weight is on the driver side. I have dakars, and they have settled pretty good also
