Well got the tsb done. Dealer put the 48220-35020 on the drivers side which is good. But they put the 48210-04570 on the passenger side. This is the old spring. And has been superceeded by 48210-35A20. They told me today that they ordered 48210-35A20 but Toyota send them the old one.

How can I find out if this is true? Is there a toyota # that I can call?

Can some one please put some pictures of the actual springs after the tsb.

The old has three leafs and the new has four leafs. Why don't you just look under your truck and count.

So the TSB springs add 1.5 inches of lift?
Not this thread, but some of them out there confuse me more than I already was...

4 leafs are 4 leafs. You're not paying for them are you?

No I am not paying anything. They say all is done under the tsb. but I am uncomfortable with them looking different.

Will settle to 3/4-1" over the US stock 3 leaf pack

Looks won't affect the performance and if you haul with any regularity performance won't matter either as the 4 leaf packs will fail as well.

I have both of the "new" 4 leafs on mine and they look just as flat as yours (driver side). Not sure if your truck is on level ground in the pics, but the "old" 4 leaf (passenger side) looks like it is doing it's job better. I'm not too happy with the new springs, but don't think there's much I can do through the dealer.

Had it in hand at the dealership and was told that the new 4 leaf springs were 48220-35020 and 48210-35A20. Did a search here and found several guys that had the same springs put as well. Now I'm just confused. And call me crazy, but leaf springs shouldn't be sitting flat, right? (see op's driver side pic)

Not trying to hijack, but I feel like we are in the same boat.

Im getting the TSB leaf issue taken care of on Monday. They weren't going to do it at first because I didn't have any record of rough ride complaints in my service history. I had to argue that I had the TSB printed out and in hand and wouldn't leave until they agreed to do it. I have been told that it will add maybe 3/4 of an inch or none at all. They also said it wouldn't affect my leveling kit. We shall see.

Usually the added leaf is rather flat. Not snug to the other springs. It is an extremely stiff spring that aids in support once the other leafs start to flex too much.

Hey Jay. Thanks for the link. Do you know where i can find other updated TSB's for the 2011 models? Im experiencing blower issues, dash vibration, and major engine ticking also.

Had 4 other issues already that caused me to go to the dealership about 10 times. Bought the truck with 13 miles on it, this February none-the-less. This situation is ridiculous...

The 2012 SR5's and Sports come with the 4 leaf pack , the 2012 Offroad still comes with the 3 leaf pack

Eh, it doesn't really matter. Your TSB springs will be shot in a couple years as well, and you'll just buy a new leaf pack then. Don't worry about it.
