What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Looks good i would do the front pieces though that was the first part my eyes were drawn too before i even read what you wrote...

 

I have to start off by saying, "yes I know Taco needs a bath". Bugs are out of control on my morning commute.

Installed some more LEDs to be used as DRLs.






The illumination coordinates with the color of LED they control. The toggle switch in the middle triggers the red/blue wig-wag. For obvious reasons I will not wig-wag on the open road. Just something about my obsession with LEDs.

They are mounted to a 2x36x1/8 aluminum plate that I painted flat black. I actually used a CAT5 cable for the wiring and sleeved it with common split loom tubing. I used the firewall pass-through plug located right behind the brake booster.

did an oil change on my taco yesterday and i took the skid plate off and did a tiger stripe camo pattern on it in flat black and olive drab.

 

that looks really cool, but not sure if you would ever see it lol. Good job though

i was gonna do it kawasaki lime green, but i opted for the olive drab instead. i think i might do the headlight mod the same way.

 

I know, yup kinda expensive .... got them color matched for $200 local here.

Seriously... I've never been a fan of the tigerstripe camo on guns, but that looks SHARP under the truck!

The RTT is a Mombasa Adventure II and I built the bed rack last year.

 

Today, I brought mine fishing. I had my last final this morning and went to breakfast before hitting the park. Had a bad start but then found the right fly and the bluegill went off. They were all really close to the bank in spawning dens not going for anything. I then lucked out with a largemouth on a dry fly.

I caught the biggest bass there by screwing around with a jig hook and a piece of cheeseburger. Lol.

On the way out of the park, at the yoda, some ranger walked up telling me to wait up. I put my rods in the cab real quick and asked him what's up. Being the driver, 16 yrs old, I showed him my fishing license while my friends claimed they were 15 or not fishing, total BS. He asked me if I was steelheading in the river and I showed him up with my knowledge of the regulations.

On my way out, he said to make sure I stop for someone like him so I don't get tased. WTF, where'd that come from?

We moved the party to a near by Country Club and hit their "Stock Pond". After Catching a good 20 bass as a group, some resident complained and we got kicked out.

Where'd you get those nifty switches??

 

Look like PlasmaGlow's "Activator" LED Touch Switches,
though I didn't think they came in Amber.
Amazon carries them, but their description is ambiguous.
Use PlasmaGlow's site to verify Catalog #,
as the come with "Maintained" or "Momentary" contacts.

I'm curious also if these are another brand, PlasmaGlow's are pricey.

LOL, yeah....but those front pieces were a pain lol....they could of made these things so much more user friendly.....I just made them fit LOL
