tx pro baja lift vibe?

So I was wondering because toyota did its own lift with the baja edition are those trucks having any issue with vibrations at all. I'm lifting my 2012 trd dclb on monday and If i get a vibe just getting the front diff bearing but was just curious just seemed a little odd unless they changed the front diff around?

Bilstein 50/60mm custom valved silver shocks, different springs front and rear, longer brake lines, and I am told there is a bit of engineering put into the package that actually works very well with no vibration...... but I do value your opinion.

Those "5100's" are alot beefier than my 5100's
And the rear 5160's will have a higher oil capacity than the 5150

Edit: the coilovers pictured have a 60mm piston diameter while the 5100's have a 46mm piston. 30% larger than the 5100's
and the shaft diameter is 18mm, compared to the 14mm 5100's.

 

The shock valving is completely different from any off the shelf Bilstein shock.

The brake lines are longer.

The springs are different.

Toyota spent a huge investment in engineering the suspension to work.

The baja package is a better setup than my 5100's, I wouldn't mind getting me a set of the front coilovers for my rig

 

Why would anyone waste their money on that package when you could build your own cheaper WITHOUT the monterous gay sticker ?

 

Part of an email I got from a TRD Product Development Manager;

"... we don't currently have plans to sell the Baja Series parts as standalone accessories, at the request of our Truck Marketing group. I can tell you that the shocks are not off the shelf parts from Bilstein, they have unique extended and compressed lengths as well as different bushings and valving, all of which are the result of significant development work.
The spring is also a custom part number for TRD, but you could buy a similar spring from Eibach, as I recall the rate is around 625 Lbs/In.
We also use a different rear leaf spring (3+1 pack), a unique brake line spacer, line clamps, bump stops, and some other hardware such as frame mounted reservoir clamps."

And from a Bilstein racing rep;

"... We will probably release our own aftermarket tune anyway which would be better than the trd tune anyway."

TX Baja has a 2" lift. Toyota probably kept it conservative to avoid changing UCAs or getting vibes.

Is it worth it? I spent less than $2000 on Icons front and rear that will outperform the 2.4" Bilsteins.

 

Many people don't like to wrench on their vehicles.

Many people don't want to alter a vehicle from how it was delivered.

Many people find they can negotiate pricing on new vehicles at a dealership - usually the more options it comes with the more room for negotiation there is. Maybe not the first day these hit the showroom floors, but soon....

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - some of the pictures I've seen in black looked pretty good with those graphics.

This issue has nothing to do with "agree" or disagree.
