    Wow...

I just wiped them down with TSP and shot them with two coats of red Rustoleum...
I figure if used properly, I'll be repainting them anyway....

Even on armor, doing a base coat with a primer is going to help. Not doing primer can be the difference between repainting the whole piece or just doing a touch up.

Got mine yesterday, painted them last night and installed on my 4th gen 4Runner this morning!

I ended up buying stainless steel carriage bolts, washers, & nuts because I'm not a fan of zinc.

Looks like they might hit the skid (Expeditioneers/Man-A-Fre) a little and I'll trim them next week when I can get a cutoff wheel for my grinder.

I went with the stealth look. Less likely the wife notices I bought something else for the truck! Clears the All-Pro skid easily.

I've got all BudBuilt skids and the front covers the Alignment cam pretty well - good enough that the new BAMF LCA skid would not clear the BudBuilt on the passenger side... The drivers side was snug, but as of now I do not see any interference.

Here are a few shots of what I'm talking about:

    looking from the top down:

    looking up:

There was not much in the way, but enough to necessitate dragging out the angle grinder & making a lot of sparks...

    Here's what I cut off:

So now it looks like this:

    And the final result:

Very pleased with the skids Jerry!
    Thank you!
