    same shit as everyone else
The surface corrosion you get on it will actually protect the material under neath so unless it's a high salt area it dosent matter much. There isnt much dissimilar metal contact so you'll be fine if you forget about it for a year.

wtf? Did you wait for the paint to dry?

That seems excessive, that you went thru 8 coats of paint just installing them?

I waited 1 week for it to dry. I nicked it on the floor jack a few times (yes I did try to protect intended contact by putting some cardboard between) and thus the result. It's not that the skid is now totally bare, it's just nicked all the way down in some spots.

Fog install, tinted, de-badged, relentless skids, beefed sliders, CBI spare tire carier, SCS F5's, color matched grill, GY Duratrac's,
These skids are prob one of the top things u can do to ur truck!!! First off even with the 3/16" ifs skid, there very rigid. I took my truck out last weekend with my girl and we hit up some local trails. One the way out I was coming doin a rather large decent, I blasted a rock. Shit shook my bones. Rattled my spine. At first i thought ohh f**k, but the truck kept on pullin, no funny sounds nor did any thing feal strange. So got bak out onto the main road and assessed the dammage. Lost both front center apps on my sr5 steelies, and had a little dent on the skid. Hiked bak up the trail to find my center caps which for some reason I had no luck, that rock was huge. Like a spike sticking out the ground waiting to gut Nd vehicle that tries to pass.
And I have jacked the truck up by the ifs skid, with a wood block I between the mounting lugs with not probs at all.

    Thank u Eric !!!!!!!

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
So, Toyota has to remove the skid plate to get some MX done on the engine... They are so going to hate you Eric for making such a beefy skid. But hey, if they would have done their job in the first place right?

Is it wishful thinking to think that they'll be shipped by the end of next week? I'm hoping I have them on for the Slick Rock run on 6/9
