Care ambulance

Anyone work there before I got an interview and testing tomorrow. Any pointers you guys can help me out with? I was thinking of wearing a white polo so that can give them a good idea on how I look like I'm their uniforms or should I go all suited up? Anything helps thanks!!!

Edit: how bout some pointers on what their testing is like any ?'s that you guys or gals remember

I'm a traffic signal technician.
300 people applied.
I wore a suit.
I was the only suit I saw in the waiting room for the final interview. Saw a lot of Polos and Chinos.

I recently applied for Traffic Signal Operations Specialist. Same city, still under public works, but it was open competitive.
30 people applied.
3 made it to the final interview.
I wore a suit.
The guy before me was wearing Chinos and a cotton shirt, no tie.
My boss said that I overdressed, that he would have worn jeans and a Polo.
I am now the new Traffic Signal Operations Specialist.

My new boss is supposed to wear a tie, I'm still not sure on my level, but I THINK Chinos and a Polo are good.


Unless you're applying to be a bricklayer or burger flipper, suit up.

 

Check them out on emtlife.org they start you at 11 but you never get raises I heard and management sucks but that's the one in san diego but care OC and riverside are a different company and are pretty good I hear they have good contracts. In my personal opinion a socal emt job is better than no job I would take it just for the expirence

 

Oh and wear a suit a professional job requires professional attire and plus the suit brings confidence in a man

 

Wear a suit and be prepared to do assessments. My old partner used to work for them.

Trust me you will never pick up any of these guys working for Care. Get use to taking grandma and grandpa to doctors appointments, MRI, X-rays and to rehab con homes. You'll be able to take a mean blood pressure by no time. Your a taxi basically. Have fun and be nice it's the best advice I can give you.

 

I just saw this thread I use to work for care back in 99. A long time ago. I'm sure things have changed. Only spent 6 months there before goin to medic school. Now I work as a medic for San Diego for 5 years and have a small offroad business. Good luck in your career

 

Thanks bid I already work for an ift company so I already know all about that but I know care has a few 911 contracts, they pay more, and are closer to where I live so it's a win win win
