Mike and Alex, nice meeting both of you guys. You guys both did great! Mike, even Alex was hitting down hard by the sound of it in the videos. I believe that with a lift, some armor and better tires those things would make it through anything! Fun times!

It was nice to meet you as well Rob.

Yea, I definitely need to learn to drive steadily as well! More than half of the times I crunched bottom were from me going on and off the gas too much or especially me hitting the brakes too hard  Shit happens, my truck still runs, I have more of an argument towards sliders, and I still would run out there tomorrow to go again!

    Thanks everyone for yesterday!

You are NOT an idiot, Did you bring your 4-Runner home by its own power ??? ;)....maybe post that "Vid" over at 4-Runner forum to show them "How it CAN be DONE".....

We can show you "Built" rigs that have gone home broken on trailers and I know of a few "other" brands going home via wreckers....

You now know why "TOYOTA forums" can be addictive and hard on your wallet ...Mods never stop or you build 2nd rigs for more "FUN"

I think we're going back next Saturday if anyone is interested. If not, Rob, get that 4th tire already. Mine are decintrgrating. I'm going to go to Hogan tomorrow and bitch up a storm. My tires, as shitty as they may be, are NEW...ish. They shouldn't be wearing like this.

Here are a couple pictures, I've yet to really get into it and take anything apart, I'll update when that finally happens. Overall had an awesome time, I love my wheelbase even more after yesterday, I was surprised I made it down that last rocky downhill section without a rock smashing through my oil pan tranny or transfercase.

I know I'm not an idiot, I just feel like one haha. Here's the carnage after I had a chance to go under and assess everything:

I need a new cat-back. I completely crushed my pipe right before the muffler:

Bent the transfer case dynamic balancer:

I'm also 99% sure my Fumoto valve got pushed up a little bit screwing up my lower oil pan. Any idea how hard that is to change on a 4.0? The part itself is only like $50.

Despite all of that, I still had a blast!

All I could find was a sport hood way up in Maine . Here's a link

I'll keep on the look out for a cheap fender . Just post up what parts you need when you dig into it some more. Plus I know rob might be able to find them too.
Wish I got a picture of the 3 wheel motion . :D maybe its time for a tube bumper :)

Hey Mike, I'm not sure how busy the 4runner forums are but they alway are giving away catbacks on this forum for Tacomas so keep you eyes open. Or you could have a muffler shop just cut out the damaged part and weld in another one (they use 400 series stainless). As far as the other part, I'm not sure about how it is to replace but it's probaly not too bad. BTW welcome to TW!!! GL with the repairs.

If you need to replace the oil pan . It's not that hard . Drain oil ,remove pan maybe a dozen bolts ,new gasket bolt up new pan. Refill oil .
Exhaust either go aftermarket or go to Lou's custom exhaust have them weld in some new pipe .
Welcome to the addicting shitshow !

I was planning on getting an aftermarket exhaust, anyway. The muffler is scraped and dented, as well, so I may as well replace everything before it rusts. There's not anything for sale on t4r.org at the moment. I'm more concerned about that transfer case part and my oil pan. Hopefully, I won't find anything more when I take off my skid plates haha.

    So how did that happen?
I did a car-part search and found a silver fender off an 07 with minor damage.
I'm not sure if you were planning on actually painting it or just slapping on a new one. If you were planning on painting it or don't care if they are mismatched, you should give Keystone or Empire a call about an aftermarket fender. Rockauto also has CAPA certified fenders for $115 (they come primed black) and headlights for $47. That bumper damage will probably come out with some heat.

It was fun though! And I'd really suggest Lou's. They do great work for cheap. That's where I got my exhaust done. $200 cash for a stainless magnaflow installed. No tax. :D

I work at LKQ, they own Keystone. I already talked to Fred about getting him any parts he needs. I can get used or new aftermarket parts. Anybody else that needs anything can PM me.

Thanks for all the parts hookups/advice, you guys rock haha. I took out the headlight, both bottom tabs are busted, and it looks like a small metal bumper/fender support is bent aswell. I loosened the three bolts at the top of the fender and was able to shift it slightly so my door no longer hits it. This week I'll probably take off the bumper so I can get a better look at the support and pop out the dent. The main thing is my radiator support wasnt touched!
