Im confused badly anybody want to help?

I have a set of 285/75/16 tires coming and I want to fit these tires. My truck is a 2011 double cab prerunner. I have the trd simulated beadlock rims with 4.5 backspacing i believe. I don't off-road I just want something that rides nice wont cause and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. What's the best route?

 

You need a 3" lift to run those tires, along with some trimming. Amount you have to spend?

 

Wanted to stay under a thousand definitely.

 

Get some 884 or 885 and an aal. Then install yourself. If you have extra get new UCA to.

 

Well you have OME and Bilstein as far good kits in your price range as long as you don't mind an AAL in the back. I wouldn't recommend a block. Bilstein is cheaper OME is more expensive. Kinda your call on what you may want to do later on. I believe you may also be in the price range for spindle lift but IDK if you would stay in there if they have to press the bearings out of your old ones and into the new ones. I'm guessing that how the prerunner works too. I've always owned a 4x4.

 

Are you going to haul stuff in the bed permanantly (full size, spare, tool box, tools, hi lift jack, gas cans, etc?)

Do you want full suspension travel or can you live with longer bumpstops?

How much lift do you want or not want?

Your truck still under warranty?

If you dont want longer bumps but want full travel you need an axle relocate plate whic amounts to a 3/8" lift block.

 

Warranty? hmmm I got my truck at the end of January this year, my lift was installed less than three months after that. They want to deny my warranty, well they better prove the lift caused it and refund the amount of the warranty then.

 

or Both are good kits and ran by lots of people on here. I have a weird hybrid of Billy shocks and OME Springs. Both are good quality. You'll need to trim a little to fit the new 285s though, regardless. Maybe a lot, maybe a little. It seems to vary between different trucks, wheels, tire brand, etc.

I never realized those two kits were that close in price with the AAL's. I can let you know that the OME kit is a firm ride but, I like it better than what the truck came with. Mine may ride a little stiffer with the Dakars than what the AAL will though.

If you have warranty you can get TSB springs. Then get the 3 leaf add a leaf. If not you need a new spring pack gor the rear.
