    Hey guys,

I have a dilema here. I recently installed eibachs on my '06 DC LB prerunner with the 5100s set at .85"

Took it and go it aligned at the dealership I bought it from and everything was in spec. That was last week ago. Fast forward to now and I'm back at school (4.5 hours away)

My camber looks extremely positive and I'm unsure of what to do. I don't want to swallow my loss and shell out money for another alignment, but I can't just drive 4.5 hours back to the dealership...

Also, there is a loud *PING* sound at full lock coming from my front suspension. Kinda like metal getting caught on metal.

The ping is probably the sway bar rubbing on the eibachs... unless you installed the relocation brackets... not sure about the alignment... might take it to a dealer and ask them to verify shoeing where a dealer had just aligned it...

    Thanks for the help man

Might check out a local dealer and see what they can do.

As for the ping, I removed my sway bar

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
Do you have after market upper control arms? If not, the alignment tech probably wasn't knowledgable enough to sacrifice the caster being in spec for your camber. They probably got them both as close as possible, but both are probably still out of spec. What you need to tell the tech is to sacrifice a little of the caster, to get the camber in spec. Caster won't put wear on your tires, but the truck will feel a little less stable(you'll hardly notice). Camber on the other hand will put wear on the tires if not in spec, and it will make your truck look like its on its tippy toes. So my suggestions to you are, make the 4.5 hr drive to get the alignment re done, or spend less money to have it done by someone else. What you could do is call toyota and tell them that the alignment was done and is still not to your standards and have them authorize another dealership to do the work. Either way, your alignment sounds like it needs to be re done, and it would be cheaper to have it done locally than to drive 4.5hrs. Also the pinging at full chock may be your wheel stops. Look from the front of your truck. There are stops on the driver and passenger sides in the front. One on the lower portion of the spindle and one on the lower control arm. If you grease them, the pinging should go away. Good luck.
