Bad experience buying in TW

So that means that if you screw somebody over and he doesn't realize it is ok?

 

x2 on no return. Dont buy something used with out checking it over. I do business on CL all the time buying and selling different things and I will sit looking somethiing over 7 or 8 times just to make sure its to my liking.

Not checking the tires over is the OP's fault. If I bought used tires (not that I would) I would of cleaned out the rocks and looked at them inside and out to make sure everything checked out. Just because its TW doesn't really change anything when it comes to buying used or even "new" for that matter.

Hard lesson to learn right, but its a good one.

ive been in your situation dude, it sucks, it really does. HOWEVER, you didnt COMPLETELY lose 350 bucks, you still have 3 perfect tires for a decent price, you COULD plug that 4th one, or go buy a new one but for some reason you are siding with tire shops that just want to sell you a tire by not plugging it, and youre not willing to get a new one because you are anal about all your tires being exactly the same depth. i dont have any sympathy for you, like i said i bought 4 that i couldnt get mounted and ultimately paid for the tires, then paid to throw the fuckin things away, but i didnt make a thread about it, or be pissed, because I made a mistake by buying them.

 

Ohh believe me! I learned my lesson, but also it makes me happy hat the seller is doing he right thing. There is still honest people in this world.

You screwed yourself over by meeting at gas station obviously knowing nothing about tires or checking them out & now want to turn it around on him.

If I buy something used I either know what I am looking at
Take someone with me who does
or take it somewhere to someone who knows what they are doing.

And no I would not intentionally screw someone over.
I do not believe the seller did here either.
I say take it somewhere & get it checked out I have nothing to hide or admit I am not an expert, want the buyer to be happy.
As I said no hate it is called buying used 101 & cutting corners makes mistakes mistakes = expensive lessons learned.

im late to the party, but OP can cruise a couple miles down the 110 fwy from pasadena into highland park, go hit up a mexican mom and pop tire shop, have them patch the tire, and run a tractor grade inner tube in the tire...

that's how we do it in the hood and it's been done for longer than a lot of the folks on this site have been alive...
