I think the car was a joint design by subi and Toyota so they decided to produce it with both scion and subi emblems :notsure:

Yeah, it's a joint design by Toyota (FR-S) and Subaru (BRZ). The engine/drive train is mostly Subaru's work and the body Toyota's. The cars are pretty much identical. Visually they have a slightly different front end, BRZ has a nicer interior, FR-S nicer fabric. BRZ base price is a little more ($1100 I think) but includes nav system and HID headlights.

Oh, and the suspension is different. They say the BRZ is a little more "controlled" and will tend to understeer as you push it while the FR-S is a little more "loose" so it's easier to get the rear to brake loose. Most reviews say it makes the FR-S a little more fun to drive.

    Essentially correct.

It has a Subaru boxer engine.

Both are about balance and having fun behind the wheel. One of the reasons that the power is not overwhelming. It also runs the exact same tires are a Prius due to their predictable breakaway characteristics. The Scion, especially, encourages people to slide it around a bit.
