$34,000. Your out of your MIND. Try tax, title, license, supercharger, and exhaust for 30,500 O.T.D. If you pay more than 30 for a Taco you overpaid, I even say 28,000.

Leaves you $10Gs - I think you could build a comparable Taco with $10Gs. You might not have the same HP but who cares... Your truck will actually last past 100k miles ;)

Plus $40,000 for a taco means nice long travel suspension and supercharger, it would probably do pretty good keeping up.

I know this is AZ so desert running is the main sport, but I will take a taco over a raptor any day offloading in the hills/mountains/forest.

Ha! Dunno about that one. You'd have to link / beam it and beat it in suspension. Cause there is no way in hell your beating it in HP. especially with 10k

I dont buy brand new vehicles to cut into and/or beat on in the desert. Once again if I had money to burn, maybe, but I dont. Its just silly to buy a brand new vehicle for a desert toy. Everyone knows if your going to build a desert truck you dont buy a brand new one. My truck is even a little too new and if I knew better before I bought it I would have went with a pre tacoma pick up

were going sticker to sticker based off available information online. What each person pays varies, No one pays sticker for anything if you know how to buy a car :p

Honestly, Access-cab isn't a comparable option. The seats on a super cab raptor are usable and comfortable. Access Cab Tacoma, absolutely not, double cab is still not that comfortable but its about the same amount of room with less headroom.

I would agree for a production truck the raptor ir great, it pushes other manufactures to do something to compete. I just dont have the kind of cash it takes to run a full size off road truck. Really it comes down to comparing a full size with a compact

exactly, and the argument is one that will never really cease to exist :D

If you havent had the chance to see a Raptor do what it can in the dirt I strongly suggest that you do before trying to make comparisons. It really is Apples to Oranges, in one corner you have a Mid-Sized V6 designed from the factory for mostly street use and in the Other a full sized V8 built with the desert in mind. Both are great trucks and with the right modifications one can make the Tacoma into a great weekend warrior but its not a dirt hauling beast off the lot like the raptor is

I'm a loyal Taco guy.. on number 3.. but if I had the money.. i might get a Raptor. Then again, I just cant justify spending that much, on a brand new truck, and possibly using it every once an a while out in the desert to beat on it. Plus, the 6.2.. big motor, but we need to remember power to weight ratio... Id rather have my taco, S/C it, and still fit in a garage and parking space, not to mention trails, then have that "beast" of a truck. Idk.. to each their own. To me, the raptor seems to be directed towards the kind of person that wants to have fun, go out wheeling, but doesn't know a whole lot or doesn't want to "mod" a vehicle. The taco seems to be kind of like a plain canvas.. people who buy them WANT to mod them and work on them..

That's my 2 cents.. take everything I say with a grain of salt tho.. I'm just a guy who's typing this while takin a shit..
