Looks like I'll be heading up Friday night to camp as well. It'll be my first time to Pismo so I have no idea where/what Pole 12 is..... but I can bring some wood!

nope, pole 12 is on sand highway. the mile marker poles only go to 9 or 8. right now its closed at 6 or 7. how to get to pole 12 on sand highway is after pole 4. itll say "Sand Highway" with an arrow point east on a brown sign with white lettering. go left there and go straight back. might be a few drops on the fence line of the left but stay in the middle. then once youre kinda far back (2 or 300 yards, youll look down and to the left and that is where we should be camping if i can get that spot. :D it protects from the wind too.

Damn, you guys are getting there early. I gotta work Friday so I don't think I'd be able to get there until 5-6pm.

    Are dogs allowed at pismo??
