what did you guys think of that first goal??? It was hard to see from my point of view.

 

Lowers are $250-$350 for regular season

I think the first goal should have been blown dead , Marty had it under his pad long enough , 4 whacks to free it seemed excessive IMO

 

yea all i saw was big cluster f. But the other goals where legimate.

no that was my only shot for this year to go watch my boys. Yea i almost scored for 400 bucks 119 seats but took to long . But these seat were not bad at all.

You think he is better than Ken Dryden? The only thing Marty has on Ken is the numberof years in the NHL. Ken Dryden earned every award a goal tended could earn in his career.

A lot of the player positioning for increases in salary is directly related to Ken Dryden. I believe he changed the salary structure as we see it today in the NHL.

 

its debatable, i think you need to look as players as the best for their era's not the best overall. Its like comparing Gretzky to a player from the 50's and a players in todays league

Marty played in the years of money and where changes were already done with the NHL, what i mean by that though, is the way the game was played and when players become that much more talented.
Marty now has played the most games as a goaltender, most shutouts, most wins and losses.
Marty did play before the 1st lockout and 2nd lockout, so he has seen changes, but has he him self created changes(debatable as well).
Cool fact is that Marty has only missed the playoffs twice


Dryden played when Goaltending was sub par at best, he also played with,I would go as far as saying, the best Montreal Canadiens team in history. He won 5 stanley cups, he won the con smythe before winning the calder which is a first, namely because he did not qualify for the calder in the year before, he won the vezina 5 times. His career however was only 8 seasons long and one of which was just 6 regular season games.

So as far as going best goaltender ever its a never ending debate, had Dryden played longer, perhaps he would have more of a oppurtunity to be considered the best overall.

 

Well stated for sure. Both Ken Dryden and Billy Smith were probably the two best goaltenders I saw playing when I went to NHL games back in the 70's, 80's, and early 90's.

 

Fuhr was a better goalie than Dryden or Smith
