600 unshipped tho! lol would be like 700-750 dollar leaf packs! but i wouldn't have to relocate my hangers like i would for Expo leafs. I don't think i can afford them right now lol

and yes well they and made for lots of weight. Aren't you planning on sliders? rear bumper?? you have a tool box?

Oh I didn't know there would be shipping on top of that. I assumed it was local.

I should have sliders in a week or two; rear bumper is light years away, and it will just be the bumper, no tire swing or anything; tool box is completely empty at the moment. I don't usually care more than a few basic tools in it at a time, and chains in the winter. All that can't be that heavy compared to stock, especially since the sliders ride towards the front of the truck and the toolbox is close to center.

Most sites list the dakars at 2.5" while I have seen a few list them at 2.75". If I do need them at least rear shocks are cheap:) Oh and they can't be much rougher than the 886's up front;) haha

if i had the cash......big lift and crawler status (silas)...or mid travel status.... I think mid travel would work fine for the amount of crawling i would realistically do and mid travel brap would also be fun.

So maybe we can make a trade......my deavers are not up to holding the weight i have on the truck anymore. I am really thinking about doing the dakars, with the ADD. But the deavers would be great to maybe a tad on the stiff side for a truck without the bumper. built for 2" of lift and 500 more pounds of load than the factory tsb's. I love them, but wish I would have had them built for more lift or more weight....LOL wait you wouldn't know if I put them under the truck while it is still at my house!

^^^ And that would benefit you how? haha, It would be interesting to see if putting my tsb's on your truck gave you my taco lean. Maybe when I have my taco back on it's wheels I should measure frame to axle height and see if that shows the same 1.25" lean.

Also I think 2" in the rear would give me a bro lean with the 886's up front. Last I measured the TSB with aal in it is giving me about 2.5" in the rear even after it has sagged.

I heard that in Moab, but when i looked at his build thread, either he didn't update it or his lift is no different than any other non spacer lift on here.

That is what is says he has.

Is that the stock shock location for the 1st gens?

Jerry relocated his rear shocks like that. The rear isn't really mid travel. Ill be moving my shocks like that here soon as well.

Mid travel has to do with the front more or less.

You get new UCAs and extended travel coilovers, like 2.5x8s. This combination gives you about 1'' more up travel and about 2-3'' more down travel over stock.

LT is replacing the UCA, LCA and usually a 2.5x10'' shock. You can get has high as 14'' of wheel travel with LT depending on the kit.

I see, so I more or less have mid-travel up front as well, unless there is something special about his/or first gen 5100's compared to second gen 5100's?

Its in the last 10 pages of his build probably. He got a Mid travel suspension setup for the front only. He got it off of Jberry who now has full LT. And no that is not the stock location for our shocks. That would be called a ubolt flip kit and shock relocation. Ours are similar location as yours.

    no no no nooooo

he has 2.5x8'' Fox Coil overs.

5100s only offer i think like..1'' more travel over stock stocks.

when we were changing Jerrys tires, we almost couldn't get the front wheel on and off cause he had so much droop we couldn't fit a jack stand under theLCA at all. Had to put it on the skid.

Got ya. He has some fox coilovers. I'm not on a computer at the moment and my phone wouldn't let me look at Jerry's build, like Ian mentioned.

So what does it take to mid or LT the rear?

Actually i just remembered rear LT. I've seen some of the builds where they cut holes in the bed and build racks to mount the longer shocks and then run what, custom leaf packs?
